After searching high and low for the best eye gel to eliminate wrinkles and dark circles from around your eyes, you've finally found it and are ready to start looking younger. All you have to do is rub it on and you're good to go right? Wrong; actually one of the main reasons people don't see their desired results is because chances are that they are applying their eye gel all wrong. Not that it's anyone's fault, many people just don't know and follow many of the misconceptions that plague the notion of proper skin care. If you want to get rid of the signs of aging surrounding your eyes then follow these steps to proper eye gel application

1. A Little Goes A Long Way

Many people feel that putting more of a product will give them faster, more effective results. The truth is that the more product you use the greater chance of irritation because the remaining product isn't directly absorbed; it sits on the top of the skin. A little rule of thumb is to use your pinkies as a point of reference. Use an amount about the size of Roosevelt's head on the dime. That's all you need, any more and you're pushing it.

2. Watch the Eyes

Eye gels are more efficient than creams because the skin surrounding the eyes is thinner therefore a lite gel is much more easily absorbed as opposed to a heavy cream, which could leave an oily residue. When applying an eye gel don't get it too close to the eye or the eye lids. Dab around the eye socket as eye gels are meant to be absorbed and will spread around the whole area. Getting an eye gel too close to your eye can result in severe burning and irritation, and in some cases, depending on the product blindness (temporary or permanent)

3. Don't Rub, Pat

Those that are under the assumption that rubbing a product into the skin will for some reason make it work more efficiently are mistaken. The best way is to lightly dab your eye gel around the affected area and the eye gel will do the rest. Rubbing a product into the skin actually rubs it away because you're also rubbing the product into your finger tips as well, inadvertently applying your eye gel to your hands.

4. Be consistent

One of the biggest reasons most people don't the results they're looking for is because of their lack of consistency. If you're going to add an eye gel to your skin care routine make sure that you do at the SAME TIME, EVERYDAY or as directed. The more consistent you become with your eye gel the better results you'll receive

5. Please Follow Directions

The most important part of any skin care product. The instructions/directions are there for your safety and to provide you with the best results possible. I can't tell you how many times people have told me that their product isn't working but when asked if they followed the directions to the letter, nine times out of ten "No" is the response. Don't invent your version of what you think will work best because chances are you're not going to be happy with results.

If you want the most out of your eye gel, follow these tips and you can be on your way to more youthful and healthy eyes. Remember that you don't need a lot; in fact excess can set you back. Don't rub into the skin, dab and wait for it to absorb into the skin. Follow the directions and use every day as directed. Remember to use an all natural eye gel free from any chemicals or artificial fragrances as to avoid any serious complications with your eyes.
